Our schedule is designed to allow students to train daily without over-training, and to have a class for everyone who may be interested in benefiting from jiu-jitsu and grappling. Whether you're looking to get into the best shape of your life, to compete and win tournaments, or simply to learn something new and exciting, TJJC has an option for you that will fit within your schedule. If you are more than 15 minutes late to a class, you may not be granted entry into that class. Be sure to come on time, warm up properly, and if you have an emergency or a valid reason for being late, please talk to your coach or let us know ahead of time when possible.

All classes are in the gi (grappling uniform) unless stated as "no-gi."

Please always make sure to pre-book your classes!

Legend:

Fundamentals - This is your starting point! We recommend all of our new members to begin with Fundamentals classes, and for our senior students to make sure they're always sharpening the basics.

Advanced BJJ - This class is not suited for inexperienced grapplers. This class may be completely sparring based, or it may go over techniques which will be hard to understand without a strong fundamental understanding. 

Competition Training - This is for our professional/elite level grapplers. We often have world class athletes coming by to get high level training, as so as such this training is invite-only.

Women's Only - This is our session led by Vicky, of which there are 2 adults classes, and one youth (9-14 y/o) class per week. This is an amazing session for females of all ages to begin their jiu-jitsu journey or to continue learning from the very best.

Judo - This is a class where we learn the basics of Judo! We recommend attending these classes if you have competitive aspirations or would like to learn something highly effective for self-defence.

Open Mat - This session is for our community! Come and train, socialize, and get a sweat on. This is an unguided session, meaning it's up to you to manage yourself and make sure you're training in a safe manner. As such, it's recommended you gain a basic understanding of jiu-jitsu before coming by.

Kids 3-5 Y/O - This class is designed to capture the attention of these little monkeys! As much of a challenge as that can be, our goal is to share with them terminology and movements that they'll be using in the other classes as they improve and gain maturity.

Kids 6-12 Y/O - This class is our most popular class! Quickly growing, we are beginning to divide the group by way of age, size, and skill level to best serve the kids. We look to have multiple assistants, so every child in our class is getting adequate attention.

Kids 5*-9 LTP - This is a brand new class, called Learn Through Play, which is designed to help younger children immerse themselves more in the learning process using "gamified," jiujitsu rather than a rigid drilling model that some kids may have trouble with. The asterisk for 5 year olds is that we need to ensure they are ready for the class beforehand! Normally, it's best suited for 6-9 year olds, but we've found some 5 year olds are ready, too. Talk to your instructor for more information or inquiry!

Youth BJJ - This is our "teens," age group class. We have kids from ages 10-16 years old in this program, working together and developing a community amongst one another. This is a great place for teenagers to begin, before trying out some of our adult classes, as well. For kids on the younger side of the spectrum in this program, we are going to be helping them develop an understanding and technical foundation suitable for them, while also being able to delve deeper than we can with our younger kids. The class will still be split based on age, size, and skill level, so it's more than likely that the 10-12 year olds will be working together and the 13-16 year olds will be working together, for the most part.
